This bespoke garden studio was created for a textile designer, providing a light-filled, functional workspace for fabric dyeing, design and artistic exploration. Every detail was tailored to support the client’s creative practice while connecting to the garden and natural light.

This bespoke garden studio was created for a textile designer, providing a light-filled, functional workspace for fabric dyeing, design and artistic exploration. Every detail was tailored to support the client’s creative practice while connecting to the garden and natural light.
Three skylights flood the studio with daylight, complemented by feature uplighting between birch joists to create a calm, even illumination. The pitched roof and exposed birch ceiling add texture and warmth, while the bespoke desk is carefully positioned to frame garden views through a glazed door.
The exterior features vertically oriented burnt larch cladding, punctuated by powder-coated metal capping and window reveals, providing a refined contrast to the natural surroundings. Inside, vibrant, durable finishes balance warmth with bold colour, fostering inspiration without compromising functionality. A large stainless steel sink and generous work surfaces meet the practical demands of dyeing and fabric design.
