A growing family’s home transformed for modern living, old and new in harmony, craft, warmth and flow
This project reimagines a traditional victorian terraced house in Camden into a spacious forever home for a growing family. The house now unfolds across five bedrooms, three bathrooms and a large open-plan kitchen and dining area, culminating in a dramatic double-height living space with a soaring oak library that opens to the garden.

The house now unfolds across five bedrooms, three bathrooms and a large open-plan kitchen and dining area, culminating in a dramatic double-height living space with a soaring oak library that opens to the garden.
Our design scope included both the exterior and interior, restoring original features while introducing a contemporary architectural language of oak trims and herringbone patterns. Extensions at basement, first floor and loft levels maximise space and natural light. The new elements are carefully set back and expressed through modern materials, allowing old and new to sit together in clear dialogue.
The open-plan kitchen and dining space forms the heart of the home, a place for family life to gather and unfold. The double-height library, crafted in oak, connects vertically to the garden and draws in light through tall glazing. The result is a calm, characterful home that balances heritage with modern family living.
